ABOUT ME
My registration
The UKCP is the registration body for 7000 Psychotherapist in the UK and has demanding training requirements for entry and ongoing professional development
My training
I trained with and I am now involved in the running of the Arbours Association of Psychotherapists
My background is in NHS mental health services where I worked for over 30 years. I have worked as a Psychotherapist and MBT practitioner in the NHS and I used work as a Specialist Practitioner within a Beacon NHS Mental health crisis service alongside my private practice.
I trained in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the Arbours Association in North London where the training programme is partly based around a collection of therapeutic communities. These are places which offer support and containment to people who are experiencing acute mental distress and confusion and helps them to understand it.
